A Steam-Powered Giant of the Dwarven Foundries
Steam War-Construct is a 1,777-piece steampunk mechanical building set designed for adult builders, fantasy collectors, and fans of industrial machines. The model combines heavy armor, exposed gears, copper-colored pipes, articulated mechanical parts, a rotating drill, and a pilot cockpit within one imposing steam-powered construct.
Accompanied by the dwarf warrior Sorg Ironhammer, the completed model brings together mechanical engineering, fantasy worldbuilding, poseable functions, and strong display presence.
The Heart Furnace Secret
Deep beneath the mountains of the Continent of Gridera, the dwarven foundries created machines powered by heat, pressure, and ancient mechanical knowledge.
Among their greatest creations was the Steam War-Construct—a heavily armored machine designed to enter places too dangerous for ordinary warriors.
Sorg Ironhammer serves as both its pilot and guardian. Carrying his enormous hammer and never traveling far from his bottle, he guides the construct in search of lost relics, mysterious stones, and the secrets hidden inside the legendary Heart Furnace.
Retro Steampunk Design
The brown, gold, and metallic color scheme is combined with exposed pipes, gears, mechanical joints, armor panels, pressure equipment, and industrial details.
These elements create the appearance of a machine assembled inside an old dwarven workshop rather than a clean modern robot.
Articulated Mechanical Functions
Multiple movable sections allow the model to be adjusted into different working and battle poses.
360° Rotating Drill
Movable Head
Rotating Mechanical Hand
Adjustable Arms and Mechanical Sections
The articulated design adds movement while allowing the finished construct to maintain a substantial display stance.
Pilot Cockpit
Sorg Ironhammer can be positioned inside the construct’s cockpit, creating a direct pilot-and-machine connection.
The cockpit feature transforms the model from a mechanical statue into a story-driven vehicle controlled by one of Gridera’s most experienced dwarf warriors.
Sorg Ironhammer
The included dwarf character features white hair and beard, goggles, an oversized iron hammer, and a bottle.
His equipment reflects both sides of his personality: a skilled engineer capable of operating an advanced war machine and a fearless warrior prepared to fight outside the cockpit.
Built for Display
The broad armored body, large drill, layered mechanical details, elevated shoulders, and exposed industrial components give the model strong shelf presence from multiple angles.
It can be displayed as an independent steampunk machine or placed alongside other IAMBRICK mechanical and deep-sea fantasy models.

Loved the building techniques, and the final result. The set is quite complex but for me it's a plus !
A great and unique piece to add to my growing steampunk display. Compatible with most major brands and a good price. The overall look and display quality make it an amazing addition! The instructions were easy to follow but a younger or novice builder may gind some of it difficult. A GREAT gift idea for anyone builder you know.
Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend this set for fans of the genre or those looking for a unique build.

It turns out the love child of World of Warcraft and Biohazard is the perfect cognitive workout.
When I spotted this steampunk dwarf mech, I knew it belonged on our workbench. It looks exactly like a gritty WoW artist rendition, blending chunky gnome engineering with a retro-mechanical vibe. I actually picked this kit up for my husband to tackle while recovering from brain surgery. While the building blocks are packaged as a desktop display piece, putting them together became an incredible, low-tech rehab session.
The complexity of the build provides just the right amount of cognitive friction to get those synapses firing, but the instructions are so clear that it never triggers a wave of frustration. We physically slapped the intricate cockpit and heavy limbs together over a few nights. The clutch power on these bricks is tight, meaning no loose pieces flying across the room when your hands are still regaining precision. It looks brilliant sitting on the office desk, but the real victory was watching it rebuild motor skills one tiny gear at a time.
If you're looking at this kit, just know that it's made by iambrick, a most excellent quality company. Easily equal to Lego bricks, iambrick makes solid, tight-fitting pieces that hurt every bit as much when you step on them with bare feet. That said, I am not very far into this kit, but it is just fun. The super thick manual has great pictures that are easy to follow and the bags here are much smaller than other companies, making it easier to find the correct parts. Way happy!
This set feels like it stepped straight out of Torchlight. The steampunk aesthetic is strong throughout, from the bulky mechanical frame of the mech to the brick鈥慴uilt dwarf engineer piloting it. Choosing to build the dwarf entirely from bricks rather than relying on a minifigure adds a lot of charm and gives the model a more cohesive, stylized look.
The mech itself has an impressive presence. It is substantial in size, with a clean design that highlights the mechanical theme without feeling cluttered. The components are good quality, and the instructions are clearly illustrated and paced well, which makes the build smooth and frustration free. The final model is sturdy enough for posing and light play, yet detailed enough to sit comfortably as a display piece.
It is a thoughtful design that embraces the steampunk theme and delivers a satisfying building experience. Fans of fantasy mechs or stylized brick uilt characters will find a lot to appreciate here.

This steampunk mech is a really fun build. I love Iambrick sets because they do such a great job of creating a world where all of the sets they produce live. The instruction book of this set includes a map and a bit of a story behind the mech and the dwarf figure that you build to control it. I just love that. Like many other Iambrick sets I have assembled, this one comes with numbered bags and a well illustrated instruction book that shows you how to put everything together. The is only one sticker in the set for the mech chest dial, anything else it pre-printed. The quality of the bricks provided in this set are superior, they are right up there with Lego. I really love the colors of the bricks in this set. The silver and copper metallic colored pieces fit the steampunk theme so well. Even if you decide down the road that you don want the mech, just having these pieces in these colors is worth the price. As nice as the completed build is, I do have a couple of negatives. First, I really don like the support post in the center of the mech鈥 bottom area. I get that there needs to be some additional support to stabilize him, but having a post up there isn a comfortable look. They could have reworked the design to come up with a better solution. Also, the waist joint is a little floppy. It takes a bit of a balancing act to get the mech situated into a position where he won鈥檛 topple over. So, be sure to hold him firmly until you know he balanced or you could be picking shattered mech pieces off ofthe floor.

This could have very easily been a five star item, except for a single choice.
This is a very large set, nearing two thousand pieces and once assembled is roughly 18 inches tall, and weighs in around 4 lbs. It is not a particularly difficult build, I would suggest it for 10 years and up, but an 8 year old with parental supervision could likely assemble most of it.
The bricks are very good quality. There were no broken or missing parts, in fact I had a few extra bits, which is not uncommon in Lego kits. The instructions are easy to follow and have very well illustrated steps. It had a single sticker, well printed, very well centered, and was easy to place.
The joints are where the kit has its major flaw. The shoulders and hips are attached by double ball joints and are fairly stable. The waist attachment however is where the problem lies. It is a single shallow ball joint, and the weight of the legs is too much for it. The first time I tried to set this guy on a shelf, his legs just fell off, hit the floor and exploded. I spent the next half hour on the floor trying to find all the scattered bits and put him back together.
7 year old Grandson loves this kit! I was skeptical on the 8 yrs and up rating since its 1777 parts but he is able to follow the book, avoid pitfalls, and construct without problems. So far Thorg Steelhammer is complete and War-Construct is in progess. The 114 page book in this kit is excellent. The beginning sections give storyline info and have some great color pictures of the final build. Afterwards, the bulk of the book is the step by step build out. The pitfalls refer to the many similar and intricate parts which look identical but have subtle differences. Using these parts in the wrong order leads to pulling it apart in later build steps and fixing. The pages provide small warning boxes showing you the difference between parts and giving checkmarks and X's to highlight which parts to use. He's learning that to avoid rebuilding requires slowing down and using the info for parts selection instead of just following the pictures. I 've been buying and building kits with him for a few years and have paid much more for similar sized kits. I think this a well designed and bargain priced kit.
A really fun gangster build. The mech is sturdy and has great playability the figure, which is one you build and really awesome, for perfectly into it mech. The bricks are good quality, the instructions are clear, and this is not an overly complicated build, so you can sit back and truely enjoy it.
