An Ancient Tree Guardian Protecting a Forgotten Keep

Arboreal Keep is a 942-piece fantasy building set designed for adult builders, mythical-creature collectors, and fans of compact medieval strongholds. The model combines a poseable tree guardian, ancient castle ruins, a detachable branch staff, spiral staircase, hidden treasure mechanism, and skeleton guard.

The guardian can be removed and displayed independently, while the layered keep and interactive functions create a complete forest-fantasy scene within a compact footprint.

Tamruk, Guardian of the Ancient City

Long before the surrounding kingdoms were founded, the forest grew around an ancient stone city.

Its walls eventually cracked, its towers became covered with roots, and most travellers forgot that the city had ever existed. But its guardian remained.

Tamruk, the ancient tree spirit, watches over the keep with a great branch staff in his hands. When skeleton raiders enter the ruins searching for the treasure hidden inside, the forest guardian awakens and blocks the path to the city.

Independent Tree Guardian

Tamruk can be removed from the castle and displayed as an independent fantasy creature.

Movable arms, hands, legs, and a waist capable of rotating through 360 degrees allow the guardian to be positioned in standing, walking, defensive, or attacking poses.

Detachable Branch Staff

The large branch structure can be removed from the scenery and used as Tamruk’s staff.

This feature allows the same element to function as part of the forest environment or as equipment carried by the guardian during battle.

Spiral Castle Staircase

A spiral staircase leads into the keep and adds architectural detail to the compact fantasy structure.

The curved entrance helps connect the ancient stonework with the roots and organic forms surrounding the guardian.

Hidden Treasure Mechanism

Press the concealed button built into the wall to reveal the hidden treasure chest.

The interactive mechanism adds exploration to the model and turns the castle interior into an important part of the story rather than a simple background.

Skeleton Guard Encounter

A skeleton guard can be positioned inside the ruins, beside the treasure, or approaching the guardian.

This additional character creates a ready-made conflict between the ancient protector and the forces attempting to enter the keep.

The Seven Sigils of the Shattered Realms

Arboreal Keep belongs to IAMBRICK’s Seven Sigils of the Shattered Realms collection. Each model represents a different fantasy domain, guardian, environment, and hidden symbol.

Display Arboreal Keep independently or place it alongside Frostspire Dominion and Dragonfire Castle to create a larger world of elemental strongholds and mythical guardians.

Very enjoyable and cool looking build

I've done a few sets by this brand before and they have all been good. This is the first time I remember getting any branded stickers though. The set itself didn't have any stickers or printed tiles. They have always given you very good instructions. You get a built picture of the section you are working on to show you what the finished product looks like at the end. I find that helpful, maybe its just something I like instead of actually helpful per say, but it's a positive in my book. Bags are labeled and sorted in a logical order per building. The bricks are great, they are LEG0 and major brand compatible and about 4 Cents per piece. They stick together well and attach easily enough.
This was a fun build! I enjoy making landscapes and base had some of that, but the Tree-Man had a lot of that. I haven't done a lot of figure builds, but this is one of the best I've seen. They often end up with weird proportions and exposed joints. This designed covered the joints more which will of course limit the poses and playability, but I don't think that is the point of this build anyways. He can still be adjusted some, standing straight or mid-step up the base. Over-all it's a much better look with the joints covered up a bit. They use several different texture techniques in different areas so different parts of the base have a different feel to it. They used a right amount of texture and did a great job of giving it a crumbled feel but still had some structure left to it. I might use that as a starting point to some castle ruins in a mid-evil build.
I would definitely recommend this. It's priced well, a great design, displays well, doesn't take up a ton of space (12" high and 7" around the base) and 90% of the parts will fit into any of your own landscape/castle builds. Plus a few extra parts is always a nice bonus.

Treebeard complete

Very nice when complete but very fragile. Will need a little glue to stabilize all the branches, and the stone stairs. It has beautiful details, though.

A fun kit with tons of story elements and play possibilities

The kit comes with parts divided into 3 sets of bags and at under 1000 pieces it came out to roughly 300 pieces per stage, meaning part picking was not the easiest, but neither was it especially difficult.

The part quality was good; there were no melted or warped parts, and the large flat pieces were nice and flat. Nothing seemed to be too tight or too loose, the decorative leaf pieces fit securely with the other pieces and most important, nothing was missing.

The instructions were good. There wasn't any point where I didn't know where to put a piece, and many of the instructions had large, clear images showing exactly where the parts went with good outlining. There were no problems distinguishing colors, not even the two greens or two browns, and while the description says the kit is for adults, I think an 8 or 10 year old should have no problems if they're patient enough.

The build itself was fun and straightforward. Stage 1 was the fort portions and it was built up steadily with no (build) surprised. Stage 2&3 were the tree man and the were also reasonably good with steady progress and you could tell what you were working on at each step.

The finished product was quite cool. There's a secret little butterfly in the back which triggers a secret treasure chest that rotates out of the wall, and the eagle eyed can spy the skeleton inside. The tree man's feet slot into pegs on the model but it's a full stand-alone piece by itself and the lantern-bearing-tree on the outer walls works as a combination staff or mace, so you can stage scenarios where he trods mercilessly over a band of knights who dared despoil the forest - or you know, someone on the way to get a latte but took a wrong turn.

It's a great addition to my knights, castles, and medieval lego collection, I'll just have to see if I can get the tree-man to hold a building block ballista!

Treebeard Lives

Pretty flawless. Looks significantly better than the official Lego Treebeard. Cause let's be honest... it's treebeard. Fun and easy to build with excellent directions. I would only be wary if you have issues colorblindeness as the green/dark green/light green could get easily mixed up as the book and appearance aren't exactly accurate (which is a known issue with even official lego).

Treebeard lives!!!

My favorite Lord of the Rings Ent yet. Now I know this isn’t marketed as Treebeard from LOTR but who are they kidding. This is a great build for a low price. As you can see from the photos I have it next to 2 others. The one on the left is the official Lego version from the Orthanc set and the one on the right is the alternate build of the Bonzai Tree(with Merry and Pippin added). This one is is the biggest and the most sturdy and honestly looks more like the real Treebeard than the other two. The base is awesome as well. It includes a skeleton corpse and has a hidden treasure for great playability. He also carries a huge Staff that can be attached to the base. “Treebeard” can also be removed from the base and he can be posed. I definitely highly recommend this to be added to your Lego LOTR collection.

Great build. I love the fun details in the base and the figure has great articulation. Solid bricks that don’t feel cheap. Nice product

Excellent, worthwhile set

This is iambrick 30312 Arboreal Keep from their Seven Sigils of the Shattered Realms series, sold here under the Brixelion brand. The pieces are LEGO-compatible size and with the ent / treant / wood spirit standing on the base like this, it's 12" tall. The tree on the side can double as a staff and pressing the butterfly on the back pops out the treasure chest on the side.

I knew I wasn't going to love assembling all the foliage, but the pieces are very good quality, so it was a lot less miserable than it could have been. I built and reviewed two sets from iambrick previously and liked them so well that I bought this one for my own enjoyment, which is pretty rare just because I have so much backlog to build.

The one consistently not-so-great thing with this brand is some colors in the instructions can be tough to tell apart unless you're using bright direct lighting, and that was especially true of olive and dark tan in this one.

I would absolutely recommend this set for fans of Lord of the Rings or Dungeons & Dragons, although iambrick has their own brief stories that go along with the sets in this series.

Good Build, Looks Cool, No Missing Parts

As good as LEGO in many aspects, better in some, and maybe slightly worse in a few minor details. I was hesitant to buy a product like this, but it exceeded my expectations. The packaging is better than LEGO, the bricks are nearly indistinguishable, aside from the absence of a printed LEGO logo, and the end product punches waaaaayyy above its price, relative to LEGO. The instructions and techniques are slightly more obtuse than LEGO, but as an avid builder, I found that to be a pro, not a con. That may, however, be a consideration for newer and/or younger builders. No missing parts. End build is well crafted, and looks great. It’s not really suitable for play, though.
