IAMBRICK × Wadham School: Building Creativity Together
Share
IAMBRICK works with schools and creative communities because building is more than following instructions—it is a way to share ideas, solve problems and tell stories together.
Our recent collaboration with Wadham School gave students the opportunity to build IAMBRICK sets, discuss their experiences and publish their own reflections in The Quill, the school’s student publication.

Building creativity together
For this project, IAMBRICK provided two very different building experiences: the detailed Pirate’s Bay Market and the character-led Lee Bloom Penguin. Students explored the sets through hands-on building, then turned that experience into independent writing for their school publication.
That is what makes collaborations like this meaningful to us. A finished model matters, but so do the conversations around it: how a scene comes together, which details are challenging, what makes a model fun to display, and how different builders approach the same project.
From the build table to The Quill
In Edition 25, The Quill shared student and family perspectives on the two IAMBRICK sets. The Pirate’s Bay Market feature highlighted the set’s detailed pirate-market scene, clear printed instructions and individually numbered bags. The review described it as an enjoyable family build and awarded it 9.5/10.

The Lee Bloom Penguin feature focused on the satisfaction of completing a more intricate seaside display. It noted the model’s numbered packaging, detailed construction and relaxing finished look, while also recognising that careful instruction-following is part of the experience.

Why school and community collaborations matter
IAMBRICK creates collectible building sets, but creativity is not limited to collectors. Building can support patience, teamwork, observation and storytelling across different ages and experience levels. By supporting school projects and student-led publications, we hope to help more people experience the social side of building.
We are grateful to Wadham School, The Quill team and every student and family who took part. Their writing added a perspective that cannot be created in a product studio: the honest excitement, challenges and discoveries that happen when people build together.
Together We Create
Community collaboration will remain an important part of IAMBRICK’s journey. We look forward to working with more schools, creators and building communities to share new ideas, explore original themes and inspire the next generation of builders.
